What happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas with last week’s International Builders’ Show as thousands of manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and dealers gathered to showcase, learn and explore what’s new in the residential construction industry. From Feburary 4 -6, CSH had a booth at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show on the exhibition floor, which covered nearly 440,000 square feet of space in the convention center.
CS Hardware has gone to IBS for eight years now, and they always brings some of their best products to showcase on the floor. They set up shop at booth C4516 for the three-day event with their ready-to-assemble cabinets, rolling door, bi-fold InvisiDoor hidden bookcase door, and rolling library ladder on display. The CSH team agrees that IBS is by far the best show and they love returning year after year. The popular products they show let attendees see the wood finishes and functionality at work first-hand. See below for a video of the bi-fold InvisiDoor at this show.
IBS saw more than 75,000 builders, remodelers and suppliers over the course of three days of events and exhibits. Many people at the event, as well as businesses and NAHB members, noted that there was a strong energy at the event compared to previous years. As the economy continues to recover and more people start building or expansion projects, the residential construction industry has seen an uptick in enthusiasm from businesses. More people than ever before are in a “ready to buy” mode instead of just browsing and contemplating finances.
A look at CSH’s booth at the 2014 International Builders’ Show:
This was the first year where the organizers of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show worked with NAHB to create a Design & Construction Week. This meant that attendees of either event could cross over to the other show’s floor. The International Window Coverings Expo was also added as another bonus for attendees. With the show being bigger than ever before this year, it was a great way for other business, builders, distributors, and more to mingle and learn about other businesses. In addition to the large exhibition floor, IBS hosts a variety of education focused events including forums about technology and building trends.
CSH showed their rolling barn door, both the traditional style with solid door and their newer stainless steel barn door hardware for glass doors. Other American-made products were on display. Last year CSH took the initiative to design an exclusive line of American-made ready to assemble kitchen cabinets. A consistent support of the movement toward more domestically produced products lead to CSH’s rolling barn door, rolling library ladder, and select brands such as Blum, which are all made in the US.

Overall the three-day event felt very successful for CS Hardware. The CSH team was happy to meet other vendors and explore the other exhibits and educational forums. Most of all, though, they were pleased to meet with attendees and show off their products on the floor of the event.
